Team Big Bear reports the off road chariot course is clear of snow and
looking awesome. The course will start from the top of Snow Summit and
decent 1100 feet to the base lodge. This is a different course from last
season and has a little bit of everything we like, high speed, technical, and
jumps. Always consider working on your fitness as there is always one small
climb or flat section to negotiate. Big Bear is considering having a
practice for off road chariots on Thursday, May 18. This will be truck or
ATV shuttle only! NO CHAIRLIFT ACCESS. Bring tow your tow ropes. If anyone
will have a truck to use for this practice please E-mail john Davis to
coordinate times.
Dual Slalom News
The Big Bear dual slalom is always a BMX style course with big jumps and
berms to negotiate. The off road chariots have always had great battles on
this course, and 2000 will be no different. Special Bonus The top
finishers of Fridays off road chariot dual slalom will be invited to a
special Exhibition to start off the pro dual slalom on Saturday night. THIS
IS A VERY SPECIAL INVITATION AND SHOULD BE TAKEN VERY SERIOUSLY BY THE
PARTICIPANTS. I used to forerunner all the pro dual events and this is one
of the best ways to get attention for our sport and your sponsorships! GOOD
LUCK TO EVERYONE...

It is your responsibility to get to the start before your scheduled time!
There are hundreds of competitors, so plan ahead. Give yourself at least 45
minutes to get on the chair and to the top of the course.
I have been asked to make suggestions to off road chariot racers regarding
chairlift access.
Chairlift etiquette
Let chairlift attendant know exactly what you need before the lift stops for
your load.
Prior to the lift stopping be completely unstrapped and in a position to exit
your off road chariot quickly.
Have one back pack or fanny pack or whatever you use for odds and ends
(tubes, water. Tools, etc.) attached to chariot or your person. No loose
items!!
When exiting the chairlift at the top the same principals apply, time is of
the essence.
The chairlift is used by hundreds of racers daily and the quicker we can get
on and off the more practice runs everyone gets to take!! Very important to
get a good routine and take chairlift loading and unloading very seriously.
If you have any questions please ask me now. I will not be in a position to
answer questions during the race. My main goal is to have all racers self
sufficient and conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times
during event. We are at a turning point for chariot racing and everybody
makes a difference if we succeed or fail!! Train hard and I'll see everyone
at the races!! John Davis...
