New England Disabled Ski Team at Loon

New England Disabled Ski Team at Loon
"Any time, Any place, Any condition."

Benefits to participating programs:

(This far the cooperating programs for 99/00 are: Pico, Sugarbush, Maine Handicapped Skiing, Sunapee, Waterville Valley, Loon, Mt. Snow, Attitash, Bretton Woods, Okemo)

**Widespread recognition through-out New England and the U.S. for both the programs and their home mountains via press engendered about the team, its coaches and competitors. **Instructors learn cutting edge techniques being honed only at the elite levels from some of the best skiers in the history of disabled sports. **Link to the United States Disabled Ski Team, its racers and organizers. **Ability to offer an outlet for snow enthusiasts who have gone through your program and are ready to advance to the next level. **Race series will bring new skiers and their families to participating mountains and programs, offering opportunity for future involvement. **"Strength in numbers": Present the New England programs as a unified team, promote a free exchange of ideas and methodologies, create a valuable index of referrals and resources. **Promote ambassadorship, good will and an integrated community of learning centers rather than divided and disjointed factions in isolated pockets of New England. **Further the sport of disabled skiing through the introduction of each of your "best and brightest" to regional, national and international ranks of competition; a breadth of knowledge that they will bring back to your program. **Create greater awareness of on-snow possibilities in New England for "never evers" through word-of-mouth and press, thus bringing "fresh blood" into the fold.
